How Long Does It Take to Get an Online Medical Administration Degree ?
Full-time, it takes four (4) semesters to complete the Associate of Applied Science in Medical Administration online. With our three (3)-semester academic calendar, that means you could earn a degree in less than a year and a half.

In addition to both online and on-campus programs, the School of Allied Health Professionsoffers a hybrid curriculum that combines the flexibility of online classes with face-to-face learning opportunities.
Our unique module program offers students a chance to try online learning without having to commit to a full course load. The module is just 7½ weeks long — half the length of a regular semester — during which you can take just two (2) classes in their chosen program. If you then want to pursue onsite study, your module credits will apply toward your degree and you can continue on for a full 15-week semester.
If you’ve ever been to a doctor’s office, you’ve seen how much is happening behind the reception desk. Administrative staff are on the phone with patients and insurance companies, sometimes at the same time; patients are checking in and out, asking about referrals, and more. This course will cover all the responsibilities Medical Administration students will need to help physicians provide exceptional care: creating the facility environment, administrative computer software, telephone techniques, patient scheduling, medical records management, written business communications, transcription, and managing facility finances.
All applicants to the AAS in Medical Administration program must:
Possess either a high school graduation credential or high school equivalency diploma, or a recognized college associate degree or higher as listed in the transfer admissions policy.
Submit a completed application for admission, as well as a personal statement or essay.
Applicants also participate in a pre-admission interview.
