Jorge Diego Mendoza is the co-owner and executive chef of Latin Garden Food Truck. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, graduating in 2015. While at Monroe, Chef Jorge was part of the culinary team which won the NY State Championship.
Chef Jorge didn’t always want to be a chef. He studied construction at Passaic Technical High School, but during his senior year, while working in the school’s kitchen, his love of cooking first took root.
While there are a lot of culinary schools to choose from, Jorge said choosing Monroe was the best decision he made. “Monroe has helped me and guided me to become a better chef and owner,” he said. “Monroe is magic.”
