  • Regional Accreditation

    Monroe College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104. (267-284-5000).  The Middle States Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. The College was initially accredited by the Commission on Higher Education in July 1990 and is currently in the process of conducting its self-study in anticipation of a Fall 2019 reaccreditation site visit.

    School of Business and Accounting

    The School Initially earned accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) in 2014 for the following five programs on the Bronx and New Rochelle Campuses:

    • MBA in Business Administration
    • BBA in Business Management
    • AAS in Business Administration
    • BBA in Accounting
    • AAS in Accounting

    School of Hospitality Management and the Culinary Institute of New York (CINY)

    Initially earned accreditation from the American Culinary Federation (ACF) in 2012.  Accredited programs include:

    • AAS in Baking and Pastry
    • AAS in the Culinary Arts

    School of Nursing

    Initially earned accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) in 2017 and 2018.  Accredited programs include:

    • Certificate in Practical Nursing
    • AAS in Registered Nursing
    • BS in Nursing (including RN to BSN)

    School of Allied Health Professions

    The school is credentialed with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) for the following program:
