In 2015, Monroe College launched the Caribbean Student Association. With hundreds of Caribbean students attending Monroe, this is the perfect way to bring students together who share common interests as well as students who wish to learn more about the culture. We encourage students from all backgrounds who are interested in expanding their knowledge of Caribbean culture to join. As a member of this association, students will enjoy weekly meetings and events. The Monroe College chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. (NABA) seeks to unite students who are committed to academic/professional excellence and civic responsibility, and wish to enhance their opportunities in the accounting, finance and other industries.
The chapter hosts a series of personal and professional development seminars and workshops on campus each semester. In addition, NABA members are invited to a range of events hosted by various companies.
Membership is open to all majors. Completed applications and a $20 membership fee should be brought to a chapter meeting or submitted to Faculty Advisor Professor Max Torres on the top floor of the Annex building on the New Rochelle campus.

The Monroe Cheerleaders form an impressive presence at Monroe athletic events. They are dedicated to excellence in learning, cultural enrichment and service. The team offers opportunities for individuals to challenge themselves while participating in a fun and athletic activity. The Monroe cheerleaders operate in a supportive environment where each individual's contribution is valued.
The Monroe Cheerleaders perform at home games for the Men’s and Women’s Basketball Team, Men’s Soccer Team, Women’s Volleyball Team and Men’s Baseball Team as well as at the Thanksgiving Parade and community service events.
Requirements for participation:
The Monroe Chapter of the PCMA familiarizes its members with the basic aspects of the meetings and conventions industry by providing educational and networking opportunities.
Membership is open to all hospitality, tourism, meeting or convention management (major, minor, or graduate) students who attend Monroe College full-time and are in good standing. Applications for membership are available at the national PCMA website. All Monroe chapter members must be members of national PCMA and shall subscribe to and be bound by the laws and the ethical and professional standards of Monroe College as well as the PCMA.
