The King Graduate School QueensFounded in 2014, Monroe’s Queens Center offers Master degree programs in the King Graduate School with a flexible array of courses during the afternoon, weeknights, Saturdays and online. Graduate courses for the 2016-2017 academic year are within the MBA (Master of Business Administration) MPH (Master of Public Health) MSCJ (Master of Criminal Justice) and MSCS (Master of Computer Science) degree programs. The Center also runs a variety of continuing education courses including ESL, CPA Review, and the Tech Boot Camp. Bachelor’s Degree Fast Track Program:
Fast-accelerated programs are completed online along with
required Saturday classes from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Breakfast is served and
parking is free. Fast students earn 6 credits for each 7.5 week session and 12
credits for the entire semester. Additional options for Bachelor degree
courses in Queens are offered during the weekdays, evenings and on weekends.
ACBSP AccreditationMonroe's School of Business & Accounting undergraduate programs offered at the Queens, Bronx and New Rochelle campuses, as well as online, are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Monroe’s MBA program also shares this accreditation. To receive this prestigious accreditation, schools must first apply for ACBSP membership and have regional accreditation. Schools are also required to complete a self-study, demonstrating their commitment to improvement, innovation and scholarship. The Monroe shuttle runs daily between downtown Flushing and Jamaica Queens to the New Rochelle campus. The Queens Extension Center has complimentary parking for students in the downtown Flushing neighborhood at the Sheraton La Guardia East Hotel 135-20 39th Avenue.
The Queens Center offers full time ESL (English as a Second Language) at its convenient location in downtown Flushing. The MBA program at the King Graduate School aims to help students develop the competencies that corporate executives possess in leading and managing in a complex, competitive environment.
The Master’s degree program (MS) in Criminal Justice based at the King Graduate School seeks to enhance knowledge of the field, critical thinking skills and a mastery of oral and writing competencies. The program provides a broad global perspective on terrorism and other forms of transnational crimes, important to criminal justice professionals who aspire to leadership positions at federal, state and city agencies.
The Master of Science in Computer Science program is designed for students who have completed their undergraduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems or similar program and who seek to enhance their theoretical, analytical and practical skills through a solid foundation in computing, information and systems.
The King Graduate School’s Master’s in Public Health (MPH) program is designed to prepare its graduates for careers in government agencies, academia, healthcare institutions, public health interest groups and nonprofit organizations.
The Tech Boot Camp offers classes to
individuals wishing to either build on existing skills, or to pursue a new
career path in the fields of web and software development.
