Founded in 2000, the School of Allied Health Professions is renowned for its commitment to innovative and engaging instruction in and out of the classroom. Our experienced faculty of 50 knows well the current trends and issues impacting health care. Students are expected to learn by doing, taking part in clinical and non-clinical programs designed to build medical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills. The School of Criminal Justice was founded in 2003 as a service-oriented response to the September 11th attacks. Monroe recognized the need for highly-trained criminal justice professionals, at the local, state and federal levels. We structured our curriculum to empower future law enforcement officers, social justice workers and emergency responders to solve real-life, on-the-job problems.
Our School of Education offers a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, which prepares students for careers as skilled educators in high-needs schools. Our experienced faculty of active and retired teachers, superintendents and education directors bring over 100 years of service to the classroom. They work one-on-one with students to help them grasp the diverse cognitive, cultural, developmental and linguistic needs of early childhood learners. Monroe College's School of Nursing curriculum provides students with a deep understanding of the physical, biological and behavioral sciences along with a broad liberal arts education.
