  • The Jumpstart Program at Monroe College

    This year, Monroe's Jumpstart program is celebrating its 10th Anniversary. Over the last 10 years, Monroe has seen more than 10,000 students complete the Jumpstart program and the College continues to be committed to helping you jumpstart your college education by offering interesting and challenging courses.  

    The Jumpstart Advantage

    • Classes are taught by experienced Monroe College faculty
    • Jumpstart classes are offered free of charge to qualified candidates – a value of over $1,700 per 3-credit course
    • Monroe credits are transferable so students are able to apply them to an education at Monroe or another institution
    • Students could be eligible for scholarships and grants upon acceptance and commitment to Monroe College

    Earning College Credit

    Jumpstart classes are offered once per week during both fall and winter semesters and students may register in either September or January for each semester, respectively. Students must adhere to the college attendance policy and complete required exams and assignments to earn a grade and be awarded college credit. Monroe grants three college credits for each class successfully completed.
