  • Bronx Orientation

    Welcome to the Bronx campus! 

    Your first few days will be busy ones. Rest assured, while the experience will be new to you, it’s not new to us. We’ve done it countless times and will be there to help you every step of the way.

    One of the newest features on campus is our First-Year Experience Center for our incoming freshmen. Located in King Hall, this newly built student services, academic support and technology hub brings together a wealth of resources to help recent high school grads to college life and achieve their educational goals during their first three semesters at Monroe.

    Important Dates and Deadlines

    We have a number of activities planned for Freshman Week, which will take place during your first few days on campus. Below are some of the highlights.

    Textbook and College ID Pickup

    We’ve bundled the books each student will need for their freshman-year classes. All you need to do is come to campus to pick them up! College IDs will also be available for pick-up. 

    “Meet the Deans” Reception

    September 5th

    Join us for a welcome reception with College faculty and staff! The deans from our seven Schools of study will also be on hand to introduce themselves and tell you more about your program of study.

    Special Orientation for our “Monroe Express” Student-Athletes 

    September 7th
    1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

    Our Division III student-athletes are required to attend this special orientation to learn more about compliance issues, good sportsmanship, and other aspects of the student-athlete experience.

    The freshman matriculation is a wonderful academic tradition whereby new students are formally welcomed as members of the Monroe College community. It marks the beginning of your academic journey much the way commencement will mark its end. Family members are welcome!
