    How do I audition?

Brass (Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba) and Woodwind (Flute, Clarinet and Saxophone) musicians should prepare music that demonstrates your abilities. Your audition will include a minimum of one prepared song and major scales. Students interested in Drumline should be prepared to demonstrate all 40 drum rudiments. Auditions may be pre-recorded or conducted live.

Dancers and Cheerleaders need related experience, but do not need to audition unless they are applying for a scholarship.  Instead, they should make their admissions counselor aware of their interest.

Are there scholarships or financial aid available?

The Marching Band Scholarship may be up to $13,500 per award year ($4,500 per semester) to students who meet the qualifications for membership in the Monroe Marching Band. Actual awards are made annually and vary based on the student’s eligibility for financial aid grants, available funding, and judgment of the Marching Band Director. Awards will be renewed continuously for students who maintain membership in the Marching Band as per the Band director, good academic standing and continuous enrollment.

    How do I apply?
