Transcript Request

A transcript is the College's official statement of a student's academic record.

 

The Monroe College transcript only contains information concerning a student’s academic performance and status at the college. The College adheres to the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974. A student's record will not be released without prior written consent from the student.

 

If you owe the college any money or have any holds on your account, your request will not be processed. Current students may request an official or unofficial transcript by completing a Transcript Request form at the Office of the Registrar. The first Official Transcript is free each additional transcript costs $3.00. The fee may be paid at the Bursar’s Office in cash, credit card or by money order. Unofficial transcripts are issued free of charge. Once a request is received it will take 3 to 5 business days to process.

 

We do not fax transcripts.

 

Procedure for requesting a transcript:

  1. In Person

    1. Complete the Transcript Request form
    2. Pay any required fee at the Bursar’s Office
    3. Bring receipt to the Office of the Registrar
    4. Pick up transcript in a sealed envelope or have it mailed in 3 -5 business days
    5. A receipt showing the date the transcript was mailed will be sent out to you

     

     
  2. By Mail


    1. Send a completed Transcript Request form or a signed letter indicating your name, address, and telephone number, date of birth, and school ID #or social security number.
    2. Indicate the name of the Institution that the transcript is going to, the name of any individual to whose attention it is going, and address of the institution.
    3. Attach a money order for the required fee to the Office of the Registrar
    4. The transcript will be mailed in 3 -5 business days from the day we receive your letter.
    5. A receipt showing the date the transcript was mailed will be sent out to you

 

      C.   By Fax

    1. Fax a completed Transcript Request form or a signed letter indicating your name, address, and telephone number, date of birth, and school ID #or social security number to (718) 220-3032.
    2. Indicate the name of the Institution that the transcript is going to, the name of any individual to whose attention it is going, and address of the institution.
    3. Send a money order for the required fee to the Office of the Registrar or contact the Bursar (enter link) for credit card payment.
    4. The transcript will be mailed in 3 -5 business days from the day we receive your transcript request and payment.
    5. A receipt showing the date the transcript was mailed will be sent out to you

 

       D.    By Email

    1. Email a scanned completed Transcript Request form or a signed letter indicating your name, address, and telephone number, date of birth, and school ID #or social security number to registrar@monroecollege.edu.
    2. Indicate the name of the Institution that the transcript is going to, the name of any individual to whose attention it is going, and address of the institution.
    3. Send a money order for the required fee to the Office of the Registrar or contact the Bursar (enter link) for credit card payment.
    4. The transcript will be mailed in 3 -5 business days from the day we receive your transcript request and payment.
    5. A receipt showing the date the transcript was mailed will be sent out to you

 

If you wish to release your transcripts to a third party for pick up, you must provide signature authorization for that request
