New in the Bronx!

A brand new Student Development Center, state-of the-art Pharmacy Technician facilities, and the Jerome Avenue Grille (the JAG) are all part of a new look on the Bronx campus for the fall semester.    Call 800-55-MONROE…

The Bronx campus will have a fresh look in three main areas this fall.   To better serve freshmen, keep them focused on making their education successful, and help support their individual needs both academically and personally, Student Services will be adding an Office of Student Development.  This will be fully staffed with counselors dedicated to the needs of high school students who are transitioning into college life for the first time.  The OSD will be in a new office complex in a centrally-located section of King Hall, the main building on our Bronx campus.

In West Hall, the School of Allied health Sciences will be opening a suite of labs for the Pharmacy Technician degree program.  This will include two state-of-the-art simulated pharmacies that mimic those found in a hospital and in retail.  There is also a fully-functional state-of-the art pharmaceutical lab and prep room so students can learn about and actually mix medicines.

Also in King Hall, Campus Dining Services will be cutting the ribbon on “The JAG”, the Jerome Avenue Grille.  This is a full-size serving center with significantly increased capacity.  It will feature a large char broiler, separate sections for grilled foods and hot foods, enlarged salad and Panini centers, and ice cream, smoothie, and bakery counters.  The JAG will also include a brand new 120-seat dining hall with custom booths, leather chairs, and state-of-the-art sound system.
