General Purpose/Summary of the Position:
The Client Services Manager will lead a team of on-site and remote technical support professionals who provide day-to-day on-site and remote user support to the institution’s end user community. Opportunities for success are directly related to the candidate’s ability to posses or quickly comprehend how the college’s operational needs are supported by the employment of effective IT products and services. Knowledge of standard services methodologies and practices, together with Microsoft-based applications and networking topologies, will be required in order to both provide team leadership and exceed end-user support expectations. Ideal candidate will prevent the reoccurrence of new support issues by transforming Help Desk reports into proactive actionable items, identifying support trends, and developing new support policies and procedures for enterprise-wide utilization.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational qualities showing evidence of leadership ability
- Provide support of both local and remote locations via remote access tools, enterprise IT resources, and vendors
- Take ownership of day-to-day- issues by reviewing reports and open tickets to ensure timely follow-ups and end-user satisfaction are achieved
- Direct long-term projects based on emerging technology and the enterprise’s need
- Evaluate new information systems, products or services and recommend changes to existing products or services to better aide the end user
- Providing team leadership and direction in delivering best in class customer support
- Improving current processes for ticketing and related business workflow
- Being a “hands-on” manager in assisting your team in their day-to-day operations when so required
Job Qualifications:
- Experience with Windows-based systems, knowledge and experience working with configuring, troubleshooting, repairing, and providing end-user support for microcomputer, printers, image scanning equipment, and Ethernet hardware and cabling systems
- Superior inter-personal, organization and communication skills (written & verbal)
- Utilization of MS Project for large-scale projects
- Knowledge of Altiris asset management system a definite plus.
- Must be able to provide timely updates and progress to senior IT management
- Knowledge of software deployment applications and related procedures a must
- Must be able to work both independently and as a team member
Education/Experience:
- Degree in related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years in support related environment

Manage a recruiting territory in New York City and/or Westchester County

Develop and execute dynamic presentations for high school seniors and juniors

Implement outreach strategies that will yield quality prospective leads

Coordinate campus tours, Jump Start program, Culinary Iron Chef, and "Lessons on the A Train"

Conduct individualized meetings with prospective students

Liaison with the financial aid department so as to ensure timely completion and compliance of admission and financial aid requirements
